Beecham wins Worldwide Satellite M2M Study contract
London, UK – Feb 25, 2010. Leading M2M (machine-to-machine) analyst and consulting firm Beecham Research Limited is pleased to announce that, following a highly competitive international tender process, the company has been awarded a €200,000 contract ($275,000) by the European Space Agency (ESA) to conduct an intensive study of the worldwide market for Satellite M2M. Beecham Research will act as prime contractor for the study and will be aided by its subcontract partner Astrium, part of the EADS Group and based in Toulouse, France.
This first-of-a-kind study will assess both the current market for Satellite M2M services and the opportunities for market development through new technology initiatives. “Satellite M2M has enormous potential as part of the M2M World of Connected Services”, said Robin Duke-Woolley, CEO of Beecham Research. “We will be working to ensure this substantial and timely study demonstrates the tremendous prospects for the global Satellite M2M market in the future and examines in depth what needs to be done to achieve it”.
Beecham’s partner Astrium Services will provide detailed input on satellite technology trends and on commercial application opportunities.
